Pupil Voice

At The Grove Primary School, we strongly believe that not only does ‘Every Moment Matters’ but that ‘Every Child Matters’. We endeavour to provide as many opportunities for the children’s voice to be positively exercised as possible. We want them to help make our school community  an even better place!

We have proudly achieved a certificate for partaking in Pupil Voice Week 2021. This involved every child within the school taking part in activities which actively promoted using their voices positively both in what they say and the way in which they say it.

Every class within the school takes part in termly, topical debates for each year group linked to their topics and we call this ‘The Great Debate’.

We also allow for other experiences in which children can formally take part in an active role to share their thoughts and opinions in a wider context. These include: School Council, House Captains, Reader Leaders, Eco Warriors, Trowbridge Youth Parliament, Wellbeing Ambassadors, Sports Leaders and Digital Leaders.

In addition, each child from EYFS-Y6 take part in an annual pupil questionnaire where they can rate and comment on aspects of their school experiences.
