The School Day
The school opens to pupils at 8.30am. We operate a stay and settle arrangement for parents of pupils in Reception from 8.30-8.40am. Teachers are in class ready to start the school day at 8.40am and we expect parents to leave promptly so that the register can be taken and the children can focus on beginning their school day. We are very keen to ensure punctuality for all our children at the beginning of the school day as this supports a positive start to all activities.
For KS1 we provide the non-statutory government recommended 32.5 hours per week and for KS2 the provision slightly exceeds 32.5 hours per week.
The Grove Primary School operates a ‘Stop & Drop’ Scheme for all Parents to drop children safely at the school gates between 8:30 and 8:40 every morning . |
